Montenegro has already exceeded its expectations, having so far reached 96% of tourist traffic as of 2019.
There are currently about 192,000 tourists in Montenegro, 96% of the traffic made from 2019, said the director of the Montenegrin National Tourism Organization (NTOCG), Ana Tripković Marković.
“The occupancy of hotel capacity in some municipalities stands at 150% since 2019. It is mainly a municipality Ulcinj, but they also have good indicators Bar, Tivat, Kotor, so me Budva“, said Tripković Marković for the Mediabiro Agency, reports the Bankar.me portal.
With private accommodation, according to him, the situation is colorful, but all are close to 100% of the turnover made from 2019.
When asked about the revenue generated from tourism, Tripković Marković said that, as of August 6, the revenue amounts to 70% of the revenue earned from 2019.
These, he explained, are income based on the permanence tax, the membership fee and the tourist tax.
He added that it is approximately at the level of what was planned in the state budgets.
