Tensions between Donson and his partner Vin Diesel have reportedly been high for a decade. The latest explosion came when Diesel, the producer of the popular franchise, became deserving of Donson’s performance for his focus on filming the fifth installment of “Hell Streets.”
In response to the remark, Donson said this week that he wishes good luck to the film team “in the movies they will work on without him.”
In 2016, during the production of “Fate of Furious,” Donson expressed his frustration with his fellow workers, saying, “Some behave like real men and true professionals, while others don’t. “Donkeys. To do something about it. Donkeys. When you watch this movie next April and you don’t seem to act in scenes where my blood boils with rage, you’re right.”
Many assume he was referring to Diesel, who, according to various sources who spoke to TMZ at the time, regularly arrived late to shoot scenes and criticized the performance of his colleagues.
