The Greek government has today imposed strict restrictions on Heraklion, the capital of Crete.

According to the announcement, all local residents and visitors to Heraklion will be banned from leaving their homes from 11pm to 6am, Grikreporter writes.

There are a total of 554 cases of coronavirus in Crete.

Greece has seen an increase in the daily number of coronavirus cases, with a total of 4,181 cases reported nationwide.
